Bal has a lovely family.

Her son is very expressive and has an amazing imagination.

Her daughter is so much wiser and older than her years let on. She is super protective over her brother and also their Jack Russell pup.

I got to know them through SAFS in Smethwick, Birmingham. I've worked with SAFS on a number of occasions, they do amazing work with families with disability.

Bal's family were dubious about going out of the house, so we did the whole mini-shoot in their garden and home.

It reminded me that simplicity is key and I love these photos for that very reason.
