I met Carly and Sam on a visit over from the States a few months before their September wedding at a lovely pub in Cheltenham Spa. It struck me almost immediately how well connected they are as a couple, their thought about the wedding seamlessly in-sync and of course, they were clearly totally in love.
As their wedding day came round, I was so eager to shoot at such an beautiful venue with such a fun and romantic couple. They made me feel so incredibly welcome and their families were both just so warm, I had a blast. The morning prep was really fun - check out the Groom prep room at Manor by the Lake - a big boys dream with Elvis, a duke box, pool table and its own bar.
Carly and Sam's wedding was quite intimate - their close family and friends were there, just one huge part of their family was missing and that was Max, their dog whom they decided would have been more comfortable staying at home in the US, rather than taking the long haul flight over. Thats not to say Max's presence wasn't felt - with the tables named after him, I'm sure he was delighted to be part of it all.
I really enjoyed working with you both and thanks so much for letting me get creative even into the night with our snazzy flash-lit bridge shot that I now know is one of your favourites!
